In our ongoing efforts to obtain polled bucks and semen from polled bucks we acquired a polled Purebred buck from Meadowsong (Jim Flak) in the fall of 2012. We already had semen from several purebred bucks, most of whom were polled.  Since Purebred Oberhasli have not been crossed with other breeds, it seemed wise to keep a purebred herd. The purebred Oberhasli would provide a comparison to the American Oberhasli-Brienzer style we are breeding. We purchased Purebred doe, MEADOWSONG ABBOTT HILLARY, to start our PB herd.

We will be breeding our PB goats for mostly polled goats, but will not be testing goats for homozygous polled status , or keeping every polled buckling from polled parents.
